About Broseley The twisting lanes and old buildings of Broseley give a fascinating insight to the history of the area.
The first iron boat was built here by John Wilkinson and launched on the River Severn. The Broseley Pipe Museum, located just a few hundred yards from Aynsley Cottages, is one of the nine attractions which have made the Ironbridge Gorge a world heritage site.
Broseley is a friendly location and many visitors comment on the warm welcome they receive in shops and when walking in the town. Local shops will cater for everyday needs. Within a few hundred yards can be found a butcher, baker, chemist, newsagent, supermarket, take-away etc. Local pubs provide tasty food and real ales. A bus stop is 50 yards from Aynsley Cottages.
